Throughout the school year, I will be using different resources to get kids engaged in what we are learning, including games, music/videos, books, and websites!
Below, I have linked books that are FREE to read! I encourage all parents to begin reading with their students before the school year begins, even if you are only using picture books. These books are great for the age level of kindergarteners and will also be used throughout the school year in my classroom!
In class, I will be using the websites ABC Mouse, Kahoot!, and ClassDojo to aid in our learning experience.
ABC Mouse is an online learning program that has a range of videos, games, books, and activities. The website focuses on: math, reading, science, history, art, and music.
Kahoot! is an online game that allows kids to compete to win based on what we are learning in class.
ClassDojo is a tool for communicating with families in and out of the classroom. It is a great way for you to express any questions or concerns you may have for me, as well as allowing me to keep you updated on your child's progress throughout the school year.
Below, I have attached examples of a few songs that I will be using in the classroom to get students excited and have fun with their learning!
If you are looking for a way to support the classroom, I have put together an Amazon Wish List with a few resources and tools that will help our kindergarteners grow and shine. Every item listed will make our days more fun, from new books to creating new art projects. Thank you for helping make our classroom a joyful place to learn!
